"What is a Database?"

A database is a collection of data stored on a computer. For the purpose of scholarly research, a database is a list of documents which can be searched for by computer, and may provide access to the following types of documents:

  • Journal articles
  • Reports
  • Conference papers
  • Books
  • Chapters of books
  • Published and unpublished papers

The Library subscribes to a range of subject related and multidisciplinary databases from Australia and around the world.
