Print Copies of Bills
The Library holds Bills for both the Commonwealth of Australia
and New South Wales. Print copies of Australian Bills are held in
the J section on Level 4 of the Library, ie in the Political Science
area.
Bills are arranged on the library shelves by year, then
within each year alphabetically by title. Explanatory
memoranda are filed with the appropriate Bill.
To find a Bill in the library you will need to check the catalogue
by the title of the series.
For example:to find the Aboriginal Land Rights Amendment Bill
2001(NSW) you would search the catalogue using the key words:
Bills new south wales.
The correct entry on the catalogue has the title:
[Bills] / Parliament of New South Wales.
The call number is listed as J911.N4. To find
the appropriate Bill, go to that call number on the shelves and
check the alphabetical sequence in the pamphlet boxes marked NSW
Bills 2001.
