Finding Bills
Prior to being passed by Parliament, an Act or statute will be
in the form of a Bill. Bills may originate from a variety of sources,
eg. cabinet, law reform committee, government departments, Royal
Commissions, and most will be accompanied by an explanatory memorandum
outlining the purpose and content of the Bill.
