Finding Law Reports
Using Journal Finder and databases
Once you have determined the full title of the abbreviated law
report:
- Carry out a title search for the law report series on Journal
Finder. Note the call number. All law reports have
a call number beginning with K and will be shelved on Level
4 of the Library.
- Use the volume number and/or year given in the case citation
to locate the correct volume on the shelves.
Some law reports are now available via the Web. The following table
lists some of the more commonly cited law reports followed by the
standard abbreviation, call number and the database providing access
to the full text.
To access any of the databases listed below use the following pathway:
-
From the Library homepage (http://www.library.mq.edu.au),
select Databases, then either Search
for Databases, Browse Databases by Name,
or select Law from the Browse Databases
by Subject.
Select the required database from the alphabetical listing.
