"How do I find a judgment in the Library when I have a full case citation?"

A case citation is a reference to the published decision or judgment and will generally be written in one of several styles:

1. Case citations with year reference in round brackets.

In some report series the volumes are numbered sequentially. The date is not necessary to identify the volume since the volume number is given. In these report series the year reference is placed in round brackets and refers to the year in which the case was handed down.

Examples of law report series that use this citation style include Commonwealth Law Reports (CLR) and Federal Court Reports (FCR)
