find it ?”
Book chapters on Reading Lists can be found in 3 places:
-
On e-Reserve as a scanned electronic
copy of the book chapter.

In the Catalogue using the Reserve
Collection tab.

In the Catalogue under the author or
title of the BOOK (not the author of the chapter).

Exercise
This activity will use the following example:
For the unit HIST109 (The Making of Australia) you have been
asked to locate the following book chapter in e-Reserve: |

| Select Library
home page and follow the steps

From the Library home page Select e-Reserve
-
In the Enter Keywords field, type any
words of the book chapter’s author and title eg:
Nicholas past (Nicholas
being the author of the chapter and past
being part of the chapter title.)

Limit your search to book chapters and journal articles
by placing a tick in the Journal Articles and
Book Chapters option box.

Select Go!
-
If the book chapter is available in e-Reserve, the citation
for the book chapter will display. To view the chapter
in full text, click on View Document.

Enter your Student
ID number and password to access the document.

Searching tips

If your chapter is not found in e-Reserve, search the
catalogue under the author or title of the book (not the
chapter author or title).

To access e-Reserve you will need Student
ID number and password.

To access e-Reserve you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader
software.

You can search e-Reserve using your unit code.
