“ How can I find the references on my reading list?”

A reading list contains a list of references provided by course convenors and others. Lists may be in print or displayed on the web pages developed for individual units.

Reading lists commonly consist of:

  • Books
  • Chapters in books
  • Journal articles
  • Web addresses
  • Videos

References to books, book chapters and journal articles are called citations.

As a student you will need to be able to identify the citation format for each of these resources as this determines how you search for the items in the Library.
